STRIPE is a full-service graphic design studio, with founding creatives Gail Swanlund and Jon Sueda, and an association of remarkable collaborators and experts: designers, photographers, illustrators, writers thinkers, editors, researchers, [and so forth].

At the headquarters in Los Angeles and San Francisco, we research, study, think, write, generate, eat, organize, calculate, assemble, discuss, dream, fool around with words, and then yank it all together to produce projects that communicate in a way that speaks directly to the heart, by way of the brain.

Working in range of medias and for diverse industries, the common thread that is evident in all our work is curiosity and an appreciation for the offbeat or strange, a love of smart ideas, and a pure exuberance for making stuff. Each project we take on is considered and specific, its unique and particular requirements honored and cultivated.

Collaboration is an essential part of our design process. The creative friction/discussion/energy generated by collaborating is a vital ingredient that opens up a place for the mysterious and unknowable to be made visible and physical.

For us the design process is rarely a straight line from point A to B. It’s is intentionally a meandering journey of starts and stops, pauses, stubbed toes, fascinating discoveries, and finally a surprise destination. Above all, this process is a lot of fun and provides our clients with strong design solutions that communicate in the best way imaginable.
